Target Information
Histone H3는 모든 진핵세포의 염색질에 존재하는 DNA 결합 단백질 중 하나입니다. H3는 다른 핵심 히스톤 단백질들과 함께 DNA에 결합하여 뉴클레오솜 구조를 형성합니다. 히스톤은 전사 조절, DNA 복구, 복제 및 염색체 안정성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
번역 후 변형(post-translational modification)을 통해 히스톤은 크로마틴 구조를 직접적으로 변화시키거나 특정 전사 인자의 결합을 조절할 수 있습니다. 특히 히스톤 H3의 N-말단 꼬리는 다양한 변형(메틸화, 아세틸화, 인산화 등)을 통해 세포 과정에 영향을 미칩니다.
