Target Information
APC 유전자는 Wnt 신호 경로의 길항제로 작용하는 종양 억제 단백질을 암호화합니다. 또한 세포 이동, 부착, 전사 활성화, 세포자멸사 등 다양한 과정에 관여합니다. 해당 유전자의 결함은 상염색체 우성 전암성 질환인 가족성 선종성 용종증(FAP)을 유발하며, 이는 종종 악성으로 진행됩니다. 질환 관련 돌연변이는 주로 ‘mutation cluster region (MCR)’에 집중되어 있으며, 단백질의 절단 형태를 초래합니다.
