Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse PCPE-1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Fibrillar collagen types I–III are synthesized as precursor molecules known as procollagens. These precursors contain amino- and carboxyl-terminal peptide extensions (N- and C-propeptides) that are cleaved upon secretion to yield mature triple-helical fibrils.
The PCOLCE gene encodes a glycoprotein that binds and enhances the enzymatic cleavage of type I procollagen, increasing C-proteinase activity.
