Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human C1s or C1q R1 is observed.
- In Western blots, this antibody recognizes recombinant human C1r and the A/heavy chain.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
C1 component of human complement is a complex of three glycoproteins: C1q, C1r, and C1s.
C1r has a molecular weight of approximately 83,000 Da and is present in plasma at about 50 µg/mL.
It exists either as a complex with C1q and C1s or as a tetramer with C1s in the absence of C1q.
These subcomponents are responsible for initiating the classical pathway of complement activation.
