Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Improved specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to the large rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse ECM1.
Target Information
ECM1 (Extracellular Matrix Protein 1) plays an important role in extracellular matrix organization and cell adhesion. It is expressed in tissues such as skin, lung, and liver, and is implicated in various diseases including cancer and dermatological disorders.
ECM1 interacts with extracellular matrix proteins like collagen and fibronectin, regulating cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. It is also involved in endochondral bone formation, angiogenesis, and tumor biology, contributing to skin integrity and homeostasis.
Mutations in the ECM1 gene are associated with Lipoid Proteinosis (Urbach-Wiethe disease), characterized by thickening of skin, mucosa, and viscera. Various isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
