Target Information
SMAD3는 SMAD 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, Drosophila의 mothers against decapentaplegic (Mad) 및 C. elegans의 Sma 유전자 산물과 유사합니다. SMAD 단백질은 신호 전달자이자 전사 조절자로서 다양한 신호 경로를 매개합니다. SMAD3 단백질은 transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β)에 의해 활성화되는 전사 조절 인자로, 발암 과정의 조절에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
