PA5-28810 targets P-Glycoprotein in Western blot applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within amino acids 1217–1280 of P-Glycoprotein.

Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial.
For short-term storage (1–2 weeks), store at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below, avoiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily.
ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes and are divided into seven subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White).
This protein is part of the MDR/TAP subfamily, involved in multidrug resistance, functioning as an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump with broad substrate specificity.
It contributes to reduced drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells and mediates resistance to anticancer drugs.
Additionally, it acts as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
