Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

MDM2 is a ubiquitin ligase that regulates the stability of p53. It is located on chromosome 12q and plays a key role in p53 degradation through ubiquitination. Phosphorylation of MDM2 by Akt enhances its interaction with p300, promoting p53 degradation. MDM2 also inhibits p53 transactivation and can inactivate its tumor suppressor function. Overexpression of MDM2 is observed in various human malignancies, including soft tissue carcinomas and breast cancer. Additionally, MDM2 interacts with proteins such as retinoblastoma 1 and ribosomal protein L5, influencing apoptosis, cell cycle, and tumorigenesis. Over 40 alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified in both tumor and normal tissues.
