Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family). Members of this family are cell-surface proteins with four hydrophobic domains that mediate signal transduction involved in cell development, activation, growth, and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein similar to transmembrane 4 superfamily member 2. Alternate polyadenylation sites have been found for this gene.
