Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Improved specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

ATG3 (APG3) is a conjugating enzyme essential for APG8 lipidation, a key step in autophagy initiation.
Autophagy is a cellular degradation process important for growth control and nutrient recycling.
ATG3 acts as an E2-like enzyme during the early stages of autophagosome formation by catalyzing the formation of the Atg8–phosphatidylethanolamine (Atg8–PE) conjugate, which is critical for autophagy.
This process is negatively regulated by TOR (Target of Rapamycin) through phosphorylation of autophagy protein APG1.
