For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CYP1A2 gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. These monooxygenases catalyze reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids.
This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and its expression is induced by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), some of which are present in cigarette smoke.
While the enzyme’s endogenous substrate is unknown, it can metabolize certain PAHs into carcinogenic intermediates. Other known substrates include caffeine, aflatoxin B1, and acetaminophen.
The transcript contains four Alu sequences flanked by direct repeats in the 3′ untranslated region.
