BLAST analysis indicates 100% homology of the immunizing sequence with human RAD54. Cross-reactivity with RAD54 homologues from other species may not occur due to sequence variation.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the DEAD-like helicase superfamily and shares similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad54. It is involved in homologous recombination and repair of DNA double-strand breaks. Binding of this protein to double-strand DNA induces topological changes that facilitate homologous DNA pairing and stimulate recombination.
