Product Specific Information

  • For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily. It is secreted as a homodimeric 140 kDa disulfide-linked precursor that is cleaved to release the mature 30 kDa homodimer. Originally identified as a fetal testicular hormone inhibiting Mullerian duct development, AMH is also expressed postnatally by immature Sertoli cells and, to a lesser degree, granulosa cells. It plays key roles in testicular differentiation and regulation of ovarian follicle growth.
