Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)는 TGF-β superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, 140 kDa의 이황화 결합 전구체 형태로 분비되어 30 kDa의 성숙한 호모다이머로 절단됩니다.
태아기에는 Müllerian duct 발달을 억제하는 역할을 하며, 출생 후에는 Sertoli 세포와 granulosa 세포에서 발현되어 고환 분화 및 난포 성장 조절에 관여합니다.
