Target Information
KISS1는 흑색종 및 유방암의 전이를 억제하는 전이 억제 유전자로 알려져 있습니다. 이 단백질은 화학주성 및 침윤을 억제하여 악성 흑색종의 전이를 완화할 수 있습니다. 또한 세포-기질 부착 이후의 세포골격 재조직화와 관련된 사건의 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다. KISS1 유전자의 단백질 생성물인 키스펩틴(kisspeptin)은 생식샘자극호르몬 방출호르몬(GnRH)에 의한 생식샘자극호르몬 분비를 자극하며, 사춘기 시 GnRH 뉴런의 활성화를 조절합니다. 말단 엑손의 다형성으로 인해 두 가지 단백질 아이소폼이 생성될 수 있으며, 특정 염기의 존재 여부에 따라 단백질의 길이가 달라질 수 있습니다.
