Target Information
This gene encodes a DNA-binding protein with a GCM motif (glial cell missing motif).
The encoded protein is homologous to the Drosophila glial cells missing gene (gcm).
It binds to the GCM-motif (A/G)CCCGCAT, a unique DNA-binding sequence.
The N-terminal domain confers the distinctive DNA-binding activity of this protein.
