For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene encodes a DNA-binding protein with a GCM motif (glial cell missing motif). It is a homolog of the Drosophila glial cells missing gene (gcm).
The protein binds to the GCM-motif (A/G)CCCGCAT, a novel sequence among known DNA-binding protein targets.
Its N-terminal DNA-binding domain confers unique DNA-binding activity.
