Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-45426 detects TrpM7 in 10 µg of COS cell lysate transiently transfected with TrpM7 by colorimetric immunoblot using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 220 kDa in TrpM7-transfected cells.
- No cross-reactivity against TrpM6.
Target Information
TRPCs are mammalian homologs of the Drosophila transient receptor potential (trp) protein and function as ion channels mediating calcium entry. TRP-PLIK (TRPM7) acts both as an ion channel and a kinase, conducting calcium and monovalent cations to depolarize cells and increase intracellular calcium. Its kinase activity is essential for channel function, requiring intracellular ATP and being lost in kinase mutants.
