Product Specific Information

  • For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
  • For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Cryptochrome 1 (CRY1) and Cryptochrome 2 (CRY2) are DNA-binding flavoproteins involved in regulating circadian rhythms through transcriptional and post-translational feedback loops.
In Drosophila, CRY acts as a photoreceptor interacting with TIM in a light-dependent manner, while in mammals, CRY1 and CRY2 function independently of light, interacting with CLOCK, BMAL1, PER1, PER2, and TIM.
Mutations affecting Cry1 or Cry2 expression alter circadian periodicity, and double-mutant mice exhibit arrhythmicity in darkness, demonstrating the essential role of CRY proteins in maintaining circadian rhythm balance.
