Target Information

LSm11 is a 360-amino-acid nuclear protein belonging to the LSm subfamily of snRNP Sm proteins. It contains an N-terminal domain required for pre-mRNA cleavage and binds specifically to U7 snRNA, playing a role in cell cycle regulation and cell growth.
The human LSM11 gene is located on chromosome 5, which spans approximately 181 million base pairs and represents about 6% of the human genome. Deletions in chromosome 5 are associated with Cri du chat syndrome and certain therapy-related leukemias and myelodysplastic syndromes.
