Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed samples):
Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
This gene encodes a mitochondrial DNA topoisomerase that modifies DNA topology. The encoded protein is a type IB topoisomerase that catalyzes transient breaking and rejoining of DNA strands to relieve tension and supercoiling generated during mitochondrial DNA replication and transcription. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been observed.
