Target Information
Miz1 (also known as ZNF60) is a transcription factor that functions as both an activator and repressor depending on its binding partners. It regulates negative modulators of cell cycle progression and plays a crucial role in early lymphocyte development by preventing apoptosis in lymphoid precursors, enabling proper lineage commitment in response to IL7. Miz1 also binds to promoters of adenovirus major late protein and cyclin D1 to activate transcription and is essential for early embryonic development during gastrulation.
