This antibody specifically reacts with the BRAF V600E mutant and shows no cross-reactivity with wild-type BRAF.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Selected clones are screened for optimal performance.

Target Information
The BRAF gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase that regulates the MAP kinase/ERK signaling pathway, influencing cell division, differentiation, and secretion.
Mutations, notably V600E, are among the most frequent oncogenic drivers in melanoma and are also found in non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colorectal cancer, thyroid carcinoma, non-small cell lung carcinoma, hairy cell leukemia, and lung adenocarcinoma.
Additionally, mutations in BRAF are associated with cardiofaciocutaneous, Noonan, and Costello syndromes. A pseudogene is located on the X chromosome.
