Product Specific Information
The eBio5E10 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD90 (Thy-1), a 25–35 kD receptor expressed on thymocytes, CD34+ prothymocytes, hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, and subsets of fetal liver, cord blood, and bone marrow cells.
CD90 regulates T cell adhesion and signal transduction.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of human erythroleukemia (HEL) cells. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize antibody titration for best assay performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD90 (Thy-1) is a GPI-linked glycoprotein in the Immunoglobulin superfamily, expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts.
It plays roles in cell-cell interactions during synaptogenesis and serves as a marker for stem cells and neuronal axons.
CD90 studies contributed to defining the Immunoglobulin superfamily and GPI-anchor characterization.
Associated diseases include nasopharyngeal carcinoma and thymoma.
