Description:
The 30-H12 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD90.2 (Thy-1.2), a GPI-linked membrane molecule expressed by mouse thymocytes, mature T cells, and neurons in CD90.2-expressing strains such as BALB/c, CBA, C3H, C57BL/6, C58/J, and SJL. Strains expressing CD90.1 (e.g., PL, AKR) do not stain with 30-H12. CD90 is involved in regulation of adhesion and signal transduction by T cells.

Applications Reported:
The 30-H12 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended use ≤ 0.125 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD90.2 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer’s cells, and fibroblasts. CD90.2 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other neuronal events. It is an 18 kDa plasma membrane antigen expressed by hematopoietic cells and neurons, highly expressed in connective tissue, fibroblast and stromal cell lines, and tumor endothelial cells. In mice, CD90.2 is expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes.
