Target Information
Survivin (BIRC5, IAP4)은 세포 사멸 억제 단백질(Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein, IAP) 패밀리의 가장 작은 구성원으로, 세포 신호전달, 분열, 대사 등에 관여합니다. 대부분의 인간 암 조직에서 발현되지만 정상 조직에서는 거의 발현되지 않습니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며 RING finger 도메인은 없습니다. 세포 주기 G2/M 단계에서 발현이 증가하며, 미세소관과 결합하여 세포분열 중 세포사멸 억제 기능을 수행합니다. 뇌 손상 후 신경세포의 증식 반응 조절에도 관여할 수 있으며, 여러 전사 변이체가 존재합니다. 암세포에서의 과발현은 세포사멸 억제 및 비정상적인 세포분열을 유도할 수 있습니다.
