Connexin 31.1 (Cx31.1, Gap junction beta-5 protein)은 271 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로, 주로 피부에서 발현되며 고환에서는 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다. 마우스에서 정상적인 태반 발달에 필수적이며, Connexin 31.1 유전자의 발현 저하는 두경부 편평상피세포암(HNSCC)과 연관되어 잠재적 치료 표적으로 연구되고 있습니다.
