Target Information
SERPINB5 (Maspin) is a tumor suppressor protein that blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. It does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, and therefore exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity.
