Product Specific Information
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in embryonic development and cell fate determination.
It may act as a transcriptional activator after forming complexes with other proteins and functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein.
SOX10 is crucial for neural crest and peripheral nervous system development, and mutations in this gene are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschsprung diseases.
