Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and cell fate determination.
This protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a complex with other proteins. It functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein and plays an essential role in neural crest and peripheral nervous system development.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschsprung diseases.
