Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
SOX10 is a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and determination of cell fate. It may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a complex with other proteins. SOX10 functions as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein important for neural crest and peripheral nervous system development. Mutations are associated with Waardenburg-Shah and Waardenburg-Hirschsprung diseases.
