Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

KLRB1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B, member 1; CD161) is a type II membrane protein with an external C terminus. It is expressed on nearly all NK cells and a subset of CD3⁺ T cells.
KLRB1 forms a homodimeric cell surface protein (40–44 kDa) and plays an inhibitory role in NK cell activity. Activation induces acid sphingomyelinase/SMPD1 stimulation and increases intracellular ceramide, as well as activation of AKT1/PKB and RPS6KA1/RSK1 kinases, promoting T cell proliferation.
It binds to carbohydrate epitopes such as Gal-α(1,3)Gal and N-acetyllactosamine, and interacts with CLEC2D/LLT1 to inhibit NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity and interferon-γ secretion.
The protein includes extracellular C-type lectin motifs, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain.
