Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat Nogo-A (aa 543–725) and recombinant human Nogo-B is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Nogo-A is a member of the reticulon family of integral membrane proteins involved in neurodegenerative diseases.
It regulates various cellular processes and interacts with proteins such as BACE.
Nogo-A was first identified as a myelin-associated neurite outgrowth inhibitor and is highly expressed in oligodendrocytes of the CNS white matter.
Blocking Nogo-A activity leads to improved axon regrowth and functional recovery in experimental CNS lesion models.
Elevated levels of Nogo-A have been found in postmortem muscle samples from ALS patients and autoantibodies to Nogo-A are detected in serum and cerebrospinal fluid of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients.
