• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
• For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
• Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
• Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This purified antibody has been heated to 56°C for 30 minutes.
In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant human IL-4 in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a pleiotropic, immune-modulatory cytokine produced by activated T cells and serves as a ligand for the interleukin 4 receptor.
IL-4 has a broad range of actions and shares overlapping functions with IL-13.
STAT6 plays an important role in mediating the immune regulatory signal of IL-4.
The IL-4 gene, along with IL-3, IL-5, IL-13, and CSF2, forms a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q.
IL-4 is located near IL-13 and IL-5, regulated by long-range elements over a 120 kb range.
IL-4 delta 2 is a known splice variant of IL-4.
