Product Specific Information
This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to large rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse ErbB4/HER4.
Target Information
The ERBB4 (HER4) oncogene encodes a member of the type I receptor protein tyrosine kinase subfamily, which includes EGFR, ERBB2, and ERBB3. ERBB4 binds and is activated by neuregulins and other factors, inducing cellular responses such as mitogenesis and differentiation.
Functional roles:
- Mediates HGL-stimulated tyrosine phosphorylation
- Regulates metabolism, transcription, cell cycle, cytoskeletal rearrangement, apoptosis, and differentiation
- Highly expressed in several breast carcinoma cell lines and normal tissues (skeletal muscle, heart, pituitary, brain, cerebellum)
- Elevated ERBB4 levels observed in certain tumor cell lines, suggesting a role in malignancies
Note: For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
