Target Information

EpoR (Erythropoietin Receptor) encodes a cytokine receptor that binds erythropoietin, activating Jak2 tyrosine kinase and downstream signaling pathways including Ras/MAPK, PI3K, and STAT transcription factors. The activated receptor promotes erythroid cell survival.
Defects in this gene may cause erythroleukemia and familial erythrocytosis, and dysregulation may influence tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternate splicing.
