PA1-1751A detects ADAMTS5 from porcine, bovine, and human samples.
This antibody is specific for ADAMTS5 and shows no cross-reactivity with other ADAMTS family members.

PA1-1751A has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.

• Detects a major band at ~68 kDa from porcine cartilage extract.
• Detects a major band at ~85 kDa for human recombinant ADAMTS5.
• Depending on C-terminal processing, several smaller bands may also be observed.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues C K(636) N G Y Q S D A K G V K T F(649) of human ADAMTS5.
This polyclonal antibody has also been referred to as JSCKNG.

Target Information

ADAMTS5 (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase with Thrombospondin-5 motif), also known as Implantin or Aggrecanase 2, is a member of the ADAMs metalloproteinase family containing thrombospondin repeats.
Initially identified as a protein elevated during the peri-implantation period in mice and later found elevated in arthritic synovium, ADAMTS5 is expressed in human and mouse tissues including heart, lung, cervix, uterus, ovary, brain, cartilage, and chondroblastoma cell lines.
