Target Information

This gene encodes a multifunctional protein that binds ubiquitin and regulates activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB) signaling pathway. The protein functions as a scaffolding/adaptor protein with TNF receptor-associated factor 6 to mediate NF-κB activation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Mutations in this gene are associated with sporadic and familial Paget disease of bone.
