This antibody reacts with approximately 30% of IgM-RF from unrelated individuals.
It does not recognize IgM, IgA, or IgG proteins lacking RF, nor F(ab`)₂ fragments.
Target Information
Antibodies directed against the Fc fragment of immunoglobulin G (IgG) are known as rheumatoid factors (RFs).
RFs are heterogeneous and typically IgM antibodies.
They serve as markers in individuals with suspected rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or other autoimmune conditions.
Normal reference range for RF: < 15 IU/mL
