Target Information
MIF (macrophage migration inhibitory factor)는 최초로 발견된 사이토카인 중 하나로, T 세포에서 유래되어 대식세포의 이동을 억제하는 인자로 알려졌습니다. 이후 MIF는 뇌하수체 호르몬으로 재발견되어 면역계 내 글루코코르티코이드 작용을 조절하는 호르몬으로 밝혀졌습니다. MIF는 대식세포와 T 세포에서 글루코코르티코이드 자극에 의해 분비되며, 면역세포 활성화 및 사이토카인 생성에 대한 스테로이드의 면역억제 효과를 상쇄하는 역할을 합니다. 따라서 MIF는 염증 및 면역 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
