Target Information
This gene encodes a protein belonging to a large protein family characterized by the LIM domain, a cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional regulator involved in forebrain differentiation and development. In mice, this protein regulates precursor cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation and migration during hippocampal development, contributing to learning and motor functions in adults.
