CIRBP (Cold-Inducible RNA-Binding Protein)은 세포 생존 관련 유전자 전사체를 안정화시켜 DNA 손상 스트레스 반응에서 보호적 역할을 하는 단백질입니다.
냉각에 의해 유도되는 세포 증식 억제 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하며, RPA2 및 TXN의 3'-UTR에 특이적으로 결합합니다.
과발현 시 스트레스 과립(stress granules, SGs) 형성을 촉진하고 번역 억제 인자로 작용합니다.
