This antibody detects endogenous levels of total SERF2.
Target Information
SERF2 (small EDRK-rich factor 2) is the human ortholog of the C. elegans MOAG-4 gene. MOAG-4 functions as a positive regulator of protein aggregates. Inactivation of MOAG-4 leads to rescue from proteotoxicity and may be related to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, SERF2 can induce huntingtin aggregation in SK-N-SH neuroblastoma cells.
