Target Information
This gene encodes a basic nuclear protein of unknown function. It is widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues. The gene maps to 21q22.3 and may play a role in the pathogenesis of Down syndrome congenital heart disease (CHD). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
