Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65), encoded by the RELA gene on chromosome 11, is also known as RelA and belongs to the Rel protein family.
It forms a heterodimer with p50 or p52 subunits of NF-kB and plays a key role in transcriptional regulation of immunoglobulin kappa genes in mature B-lymphoid cells.
TNFα binding induces phosphorylation of IKK, leading to IκB degradation and NF-kB activation.
