Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882) to obtain a carrier-free antibody.


Target Information

The CDKN2A gene produces several transcript variants differing in their first exons.
At least three alternatively spliced variants encode distinct proteins, two of which act as inhibitors of CDK4 kinase.
Another transcript includes an alternate first exon located upstream, encoding the ARF protein that stabilizes tumor suppressor p53 by interacting with and sequestering MDM2.
Despite structural differences, both CDK inhibitor isoforms and ARF share a role in regulating cell cycle G1 progression.
CDKN2A is frequently mutated or deleted in various tumors and is a key tumor suppressor gene.
