Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 cadherin(superfamily)에 속하는 칼슘 의존적 세포-세포 부착 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 5개의 extracellular cadherin 반복 구조, 막관통부위, 그리고 보존된 세포질 꼬리 영역으로 구성되어 있습니다.
CDH1 유전자는 인간 염색체 16에 위치하며, E-cadherin의 발현 감소 또는 소실은 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등 다양한 암의 침윤 및 전이와 관련이 있습니다.
E-cadherin은 세포 성장과 조직 구조 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며, 세포 간 결합 및 조직 무결성 유지에 핵심적인 단백질입니다.
