Target Information
RBM35A, also known as ESRP2, is an mRNA splicing factor that, along with ESRP1, coordinates an epithelial cell-type-specific splicing program. These proteins regulate posttranscriptional expression of genes such as FGFR2, CD44, CTNND1, and ENAH, influencing protein translation via 5’ UTRs of mRNAs. Loss of ESRP-regulated splicing induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related morphological changes.
