Target Information
ERp72 is an endoplasmic reticulum luminal protein that functions as both a stress protein and a member of the protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) family.
Sequence analysis shows ERp72 shares identity with PDI at three discrete regions and contains the ER retention signal KEEL at its C-terminus.
It possesses three CGHC-containing active sites involved in protein disulfide isomerization, suggesting ERp72 acts as a molecular chaperone within the CGHC-containing protein family.
