Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, 세포 신호전달, 분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다. 대부분의 인체 암에서 발현되지만 정상 조직에서는 거의 발현되지 않습니다. Survivin은 단일 BIR 도메인을 가지며, RING finger 도메인은 없습니다. 태아기 및 종양에서 높은 발현을 보이며, 성체 조직에서는 낮은 수준을 유지합니다.
Survivin은 세포주기 G2/M 단계에서 발현되며, 유사분열 시 미세소관과 결합하여 항-아폽토시스 기능을 수행합니다. Survivin-미세소관 상호작용이 손상되면 caspase-3 활성 증가로 세포사멸이 유도됩니다. 또한 뇌 손상 후 신경세포 재생 반응 조절에도 관여합니다. 4가지 전사체 변이가 존재하며, 그중 3가지의 전체 서열이 확인되었습니다. 암세포에서 survivin 과발현은 세포사멸 체크포인트를 회피하고 비정상적인 유사분열을 유도할 수 있습니다.
